Mihaela Rădulescu made an emotional gesture one year after the death of Felix Baumgartner. The former presenter returned to the place where the athlete lost his life and revealed how he managed to turn the pain of loss into a new source of strength.
Mihaela Rădulescu returned to Italy, one year after the death of Felix Baumgartner, the place where the Austrian athlete lost his life right before her eyes. The star sent an emotional message in memory of Felix, with whom she lived a love story for almost 11 years.
“Yesterday, one year after his death, I returned to Italy, to the exact place where he died in front of my eyes. Surrounded by friends who stood by me, I felt stronger and more ready than ever to go on, with a smile on my face and a different strength.” wrote Mihaela Rădulescu.
The former presenter also spoke about how the pain caused by the loss of her partner turned, over time, into a source of strength.
“The one born from too much pain – they say it’s the greatest strength anyone can have. It’s time to be happy again. Not that there’s a button you can push for that, but if there’s one thing I’ve really learned this year, it’s that we’re all stronger than we think. I love you, Felix.” transmitted Mihaela Rădulescu.
“Fly for Felix”, project launched in memory of the athlete
In the same post, Mihaela Rădulescu also announced the “Fly for Felix” project, an international initiative dedicated to Felix Baumgartner’s passion for flying.
“FLY FOR FELIX – an unconventional world festival that can happen anywhere, anytime, where there are people who love flying as much as Felix loved it and people who loved him, admired him and were inspired by his legacy”, explained the star.
Mihaela Rădulescu told those who practice aerial sports or were inspired by Felix Baumgartner’s activity to join the initiative.
“If any of these things are part of your life, #FlyForFelix. Use this hashtag, but more importantly, put your soul into what you do,” she wrote.
The star stated that the project aims to bring together flight enthusiasts from all over the world and make a film dedicated to the sportsman’s memory.
“Felix was happiest up there, and this is one of the things he wanted me to do for him. Now it’s happening all over the world, and I can’t thank enough all the pilots who have already done it, from the United States, Italy, Switzerland, Romania, France, Brazil, Germany, Austria, Poland, Croatia, Belgium, Israel and Singapore.
