A proverb says that it takes a village to raise a child. We strongly believe that a responsible and empathetic community is needed to protect the pregnant woman, to carry and give birth in the best conditions to the child she is pregnant with. We know that only through general involvement can we build this culture.
Together we are building a culture of support for the pregnant woman, of celebrating the infinite value and dignity of every human person from the first moment of their existence. Together we build a culture of empathy and decency, where pregnant women can share with those around them, confidently and without fear, the conditions and problems they face. Together we build a culture of contribution for a safer and more dignified world. We build supportive communities.
In the “Month for Life 2024”, which culminates with the March for LIFE on March 30, pro-life information activities are organized at the national level, the theme of this year's event being Building together for life:
Women need:
→ of family and friends to be with them; of men who understand the situation of pregnant women and mothers and support them so that they can have personal, professional, family and social life.
→ of competent medical personnel, with recognized status in society, adequately rewarded materially and with a civilized working schedule
→ of social workers, professionally trained and respected, who can intervene in difficult situations; by psychologists, therapists, priests and others who can provide spiritual and psychological support.
→ of formal and informal education institutions/organizations, to educate young people and the community about relationships, respect, support, values.
→ of leaders and opinion leaders to lead the dialogue with all members of our society, for permanent information and education.
→ by authorities and political actors to understand the issue of life support and build appropriate legislation.
A world where every pregnant woman and every child is welcomed and supported
The message is addressed to the whole society, and the approach is apolitical, non-confessional and does not support any form of ostracism of women.
We witness the lack of information and comprehensive education of young people. That is why there is a need to focus efforts on the education of the younger generation, preparing them to make informed decisions.
Education and correct information are the most powerful weapons with which we can fight to build a civilized society that respects human rights.
We know that only through cooperation and collaboration can we have a solid impact in society. We are not campaigning for the legal ban on abortion.
Instead, we encourage respect for this fundamental right: the birth of every human being, offering support to the potentially pregnant woman in a fragile and difficult situation. Respect for life, at any stage, is the essence of the harmonious development of human society.
We campaign for increased responsibility towards life through support for mother and child. We build awareness of the existence of the life of the unborn child.
We bring together stakeholders who, through shared vision and collaboration, build a better future for generations to come.
The March for LIFE and pro-life activities are organized locally, voluntarily and independently in over 1500 localities in Romania.
In Bucharest, the March for Life 2024 is organized by the Association “Students for Life” Bucharest and the Association “Romania for Life” and will take place on Saturday, March 30, starting at 11:30.
The march program includes gathering at 11:30 a.m. in University Square, on the esplanade with statues, departure at 12:30 p.m., on the route Bld. Regina Elisabeta – Bld. Schitu Măgureanu – Park Izvor and a “Live for Life” concert in Park Izvor at 13.
