The policeman and author Marian Godină announced that he will be out of the country in the next period and will not have access to the Internet. “In a few days, the only person posting on my pages will be my wife, Georgiana“, he said.
Speculation about a possible show
Being on parental leave, Godină applied for leave without pay, as his departure meant earning some income and being away from home for 3-4 months. His announcement sparked a number of speculations and comments from fans, with many suggesting that his departure from the country could be linked to his participation in a reality show such as Asia Express or Survivor. The police officer has not confirmed these rumours, but his post has already sparked heated discussions on social networks, especially since he ended his message by saying that it is also possible for him to return much faster.
Godină explained the reasons that led him to request the suspension of parental leave. “I was going to address the employer, according to the law, with a request through which I would have requested the suspension of the allowance for raising the child, as I am now on parental leave. From the moment the allowance was suspended, I would have been in full legality”he stated on Facebook.
However, the officer testified that he questioned whether it would be moral to spend 3-4 months away from the child during parental leave. “However, I asked myself if it would be moral for me to be gone for 3-4 months away from the child while I am on leave «for the child’s growth». But the most important thing is how I felt and what made me to be at peace with my own conscience”explained Godină.
He also said that he also consulted with relatives: “Some said that if it’s legal, they don’t see any problem, especially since I wouldn’t receive any more allowance. Others said it was a bit silly. I considered that a leave for raising the child does not mean that you have to be non-stop with the little one, as I have been accused over time, when I was away from home for 3-4 days. However, spending 3 or even 4 months away from the child seems to me that, although legal, it might raise some moral issues“.
Leave without pay and peace of mind
About three weeks ago, Marian Godină submitted a report in which she requested the termination of leave for raising the child and the transition to unpaid leave. “It’s the thing that calms me down completely, especially since the period of unpaid leave is not considered length of service, as it would have been in the case of parental leave”. he explained.
Thus, in the following period, Godină will not receive any salary from the employer, nor will his seniority be counted. “These things will make me sleep a lot more soundly. PS: I can also get back a lot faster”he added.
