The ex-wife of the composer Horia Moculescu, Mariana Moculescu, sent a request to the Prime Minister, the Minister of Culture and the Director of TNB, requesting that he be excluded from the charity concert organized in his honor.

Horia Moculescu, died on Wednesday, November 12, at the age of 88. The great composer was hospitalized in serious condition, having been intubated in the last few days.
On November 19, the renowned composer was to be honored at TNB, during the concert “My years – the Moculesian autumn”which now, unfortunately, will take place in memoriam. Regarding this concert, Mariana Moculescu requested that her ex-husband be excluded from the event dedicated to him, according to a document obtained by Viva.ro.
“Dear Minister,
Mr. General Manager,
The undersigned Mariana Moculescu, ex-wife of Moculescu Horia Nicolae, inform you of the following:
1. I, the undersigned, am the victim of serious crimes committed by Moculescu Horia Nicolae over the time for which I have filed pending criminal complaints, consisting of attempted murder and harassment, threats and physical torture, and my request for recognition of the status of a victim with special needs is ongoing according to Law number 211/2004 and Directive 2012/29/EU.
2. Considering the history of aggressions and the seriousness of his actions, there is a concrete and immediate risk of mental and emotional trauma, even if I do not physically participate in the charity concert Anii mei – Toamna Moculestiană, scheduled for November 19, 2025, at 7:30 p.m., in the Ion Caramitru hall”it is stated in the document sent by Mariana Moculescu.
She requested “unequivocally, Moculescu Horia Nicolae should be prohibited from entering any space of the show, and this measure should be applied immediately and confirmed in writing by each responsible institution and organizer”the document also shows.
The marriage between composer Horia Moculescu and his much younger partner, Mariana Moculescu, was under the media’s scrutiny for years, becoming one of the most discussed topics in showbiz. The two have a daughter together, Nidia, but their relationship quickly entered a spiral of reproaches and suspicions, culminating in the scandals of the late 90s.

Even after the divorce, things did not calm down. Mariana spoke repeatedly about the lack of financial support and about the fact that she would have lost the shared home, accusations that kept tensions at a high level.
