The Ministry of Health has updated the list of pills and treatments containing drugs. These substances can cause false positive results in fast -drug tests, used by the police in the case of road controls.
The list are common drugs, such as Paracetamol, Brufen Plus, Diazepam and Fentanil, the latter being already included in the category of controlled substances. They contain compounds that are found in numerous syrups, tablets or envelopes for respiratory viruses and can be interpreted by testing devices as drugs.
False positive and suspended permit results
Even laboratory analyzes in the first stage can confirm the presence of these substances, although they come from legal drugs. In such situations, the driving license is automatically suspended, and the driver must wait for the results of the final analyzes, a procedure that can take up to three months.
How can the risk drugs be recognized
Medications that can affect reflexes or concentration capacity have a red warning triangle. This symbol indicates that the product can influence the ability to drive or use machines.
Specialists recommend drivers to carefully read the package leaflet and do not exceed the recommended doses.
