Monster scandal in the world of influencers: Bostanica accuses Beregoi of blackmail. One of the victims woke up with a coffin at the gate

An investigation by the authorities has revealed shocking details about the activity of a group suspected of blackmail and intimidation among online influencers.

A large-scale investigation carried out by the Police of the Republic of Moldova revealed serious details about the activity of a group suspected of blackmail and intimidation, in a file in which the name of a well-known influencer of the new generation, Iuliana Beregoi, also appears.

The young woman, followed by millions of fans, including from Romania, who also released several songs with well-known artists, would be involved in a criminal network that dealt with blackmail and demanded protection fees from other online influencers. Among the victims would be another famous tiktoker, Daniela Costetchi, who woke up with a coffin and a cross in front of the gate. The Internet caught fire after this detail was revealed by Andreea Bostănică, another famous influencer from the young generation, writes the press from the Republic of Moldova.

Once inseparable and good friends, TikTok stars Andreea Bostănică and Iuliana Beregoi have now come to blows.

Andreea Bostănică, currently settled in Dubai and who parades her extravagant lifestyle on social networks, claims that Iuliana Beregoi, together with several relatives (she calls them the “Beregoi clan”) would have blackmailed and threatened stars from the Republic of Moldova.

“She’s sad because her house was raided with her entire clan. Their phones were taken, their cars were confiscated for a search,” Andreea Bostănică revealed on social networks who it is about in the blackmail case.

“My name was written on the cross”

Also, Andreea Bostănică also brought to the attention of the public the case of a young woman who was allegedly subjected to blackmail by the family of Iuliana Beregoi.

The victim she is talking about is Daniela Costetchi, also an influencer, with almost half a million followers.

Daniela Costetchi confirmed not only that she was forced to “collaborate” with the network of blackmailers, to whom she paid a monthly fee, but also that she was threatened with death. She said that her parents found a coffin and a cross in front of the gate with her name written on it and that she fears not only for her life, but also for her daughter’s.

“On the cross was written my name, my date of birth and my supposed date of death. I was afraid to leave the house to go to the store, to leave the house in the car to take Leila to kindergarten”, said Daniela Costetchi.

“It all started in 2021 when I moved to Chisinau. This Anonymus appeared out of nowhere. He started deleting accounts, deleting posts. I accepted a “collaboration” forced to pay every time. Part of the money I was sending went towards gifts to the girl in question”, she told investigators.

In the file, one person was detained among the eight suspects interviewed

The officers from the Directorate of Investigations from the Republic of Moldova went on the wire and started a wide investigation, followed by searches, following which eight people were taken to hearings, one of whom was detained for 72 hours, according to an official statement.

“The officers of the “Center” Directorate of Investigations of INI, together with the police and prosecutors from Căuşeni, documented the criminal activity of a group of 8 people, including three women between the ages of 18 and 47, originally from Chisinau and Orhei.

Between March 2021 and May 2025, the suspects allegedly blackmailed two people and extorted more than 47,200 euros.

According to the materials of the criminal case, the first blackmail actions took place in April-May 2021, when the suspects, with a fake profile created on the Instagram social network, allegedly requested money from the victims, under the pretext of not disrupting their activity on that platform.

Subsequently, the blackmail actions were allegedly accompanied by serious threats. On the night of May 4 to 5, 2025, the suspects would have brought to the gate of the home of the parents of one of the victims, from a locality in the Căușeni district, a coffin lid, a metal cross with the date of birth and an alleged date of death of the victim, as well as a photo of the victim together with his minor daughter, a gesture perceived by the injured party as a real threat to his life.

The funds were transferred to various bank accounts and electronic wallets with virtual currency, later being redirected to other accounts and withdrawn in cash.

As a result of special investigative measures and criminal prosecution actions, with the support of BPDS «Fulger», 10 searches were carried out, mobile phones, data storage devices, bank cards, as well as a BMW car were found and seized.

The 8 people were recognized as suspects, and one of them was detained for 72 hours. If they are found guilty, they risk imprisonment from 11 to 13 years, according to the legislation in force. Investigations continue to establish all the circumstances and identify other people involved”, is the communication sent by the investigators from the Republic of Moldova.
