Netflix unveiled on Monday behind-the-scenes footage of the fifth season of “Stranger Things,” one of the platform’s most-watched series of all time.
The fifth season of the series “Stranger Things” is in the middle of filming.
“Greatest season yet. It’s worth the wait. Here’s some behind-the-scenes footage of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things!,” reads the brief description accompanying Netflix’s Facebook post.

Netflix also explained the reason behind the surprise to fans:
“To celebrate the halfway point of filming Stranger Things 5 - and eight years of Stranger Things! – we have a very special look at the making of the last season“.
About “Stranger Things”
Stranger Things is a science fiction horror and drama series and is one of the most successful original series on the Netflix platform.
The story takes place in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana in the 1980s. The Duffer brothers are showrunners, along with Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen, executive producers.
The Duffer Brothers drew inspiration from a variety of sources, such as ’80s pop culture trends and Cold War conspiracy theories.
We remember that, two years ago, the creators of the series, brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, told the fans that they came to the conclusion that four seasons means too little for this series.
“Seven years ago, I planned a complete narrative arc for Stranger Things. Then, I thought the story over four or five seasons. It turned out to be too long to be four, but we’re heading towards the end“, they said.
The fifth season of the series “Stranger Things” will also be the last.
