His daughter, Nidia Moculescu, who coordinated the funeral preparations, spoke of the special bond with her father, whom she considered “its icon” and which he always put first.

Tonight I got into bed and said: Good night, daddy! The relationship with him was special. I am 35 years old and I chose to be with my father“, Nidia declared for Cancan.

Mother’s support and last moments

In these difficult moments, Nidia invited her mother, Mariana Moculescu, to be with the family. Asked if she was expected to attend the funeral, the young woman replied: “If he wants to come, let him come. I talked to her. Since my father was admitted to Matei Balș on Monday, I thank the doctors and nurses there, I was there every day. Every day, from eight in the morning, the phones rang continuously from people in the press asking me about my father. On the day my father died, at eight o’clock in the morning, I received a call from a journalist who told me: «Good morning, did you know that your father died?!» It is inhumane. I understand doing your job, but not being inhumane“, Nidia also said, according to Click!.

How he learned the tragic news

The composer’s daughter said that the news of his death was delivered to her in an unexpected way. “I had a good friend of mine and my father’s find out first, just so I wouldn’t have a shock, but the young journalist gave me the news. I felt that I was sinking, that I was dying”Nidia Moculescu testified.

Future plans

Despite the pain, Nidia said she will continue to work and live her life as normally as possible.

I will continue with the work. I’m going to continue my father’s radio show, I’m going to live my life on a normal course”, she added.
