Oana Roman caused fury on Tiktok after she shared a video in which she insulted the sovereignists, calling them “traitors”, “scum” and “stinks”. After numerous messages appeared on the networks in which she was criticized and accused of hypocrisy, the star deleted her post.
A video published by Oana Roman on TikTok ignited the spirits on social networks. It all started with the star’s insults to the sovereignists, whom she described in extremely harsh terms and about which she said that, if it were up to her, she would revoke their Romanian citizenship.
“Sovereignists, these anti-Europeans, anti-globalists, conspiracists, pro-Russians, what do you want, are, in fact, anti-nationals, traitors, and literal leaks, whose citizenship I would revoke. So let them see what it’s like to live without all the facilities and freedoms offered by the European Citizenship Status. And they are in fact stinking pesedists, goldists and Georgians”, said the daughter of former prime minister Petre Roman on TikTok.
Her video triggered the anger of internet users, some of them drawing her attention to the language used and the fact that she offends millions of Romanians, whom she puts in the same pot, while others responded in roughly the same tone as she used.
One of the most vocal critics was a man who referred to the star’s father, former prime minister Petre Roman, and accused Oana Roman of forgetting the privileged position she would have had over the years, accusing her of hypocrisy and associating her with a cartoon character, Peppa Pig.
“Ms. Peppa Pig, you’ve jumped the horse here. Aren’t you, Oana Roman, the daughter of Mr. Petre Roman, Romania’s service paramedic? Tell us how you allow yourself to talk like that, Mrs. Peppa Pig. (…) You forgot the privileged life you led with your whole family, thanks to the father who only held positions in the Romanian state, was only employed by the state and paid from our money, you Tell me, Mrs. Peppa, why are you so frustrated? Now you don’t have the same privileges that you had in the past, when your father was a convinced communist?” he said.
The comments did not stop even after the star deleted the post in question from his account, a TikTok user noting this very aspect and mocking Oana Roman for “assuming”.
“Oana Roman, what did you do my dear, did you delete the video? What an assumption you are, Oana Roman! Well, haven’t the Romanians been good to you? No? Well done, I respect all the patriots who love their country! You, Oana Roman, I refrain, because, to be honest, you don’t deserve a single word from us, do you understand? We wasted our time with you today, so that you also understand how many of us there are”,
says the woman in the video.
