Murphy confessed that he embraced acting after trying to be a musician, but often felt like a “intruder''.

“This is an extremely special award for me because it comes from you,” Murphy said to his guild mates.

The SAG-AFTRA awards are followed with interest because actors represent the largest group of voters in the American Film Academy awards, the most prestigious in the cinema industry.

The success of the drama “Oppenheimer'' seems unstoppable.

The film directed by Christopher Nolan has already won important trophies at the Golden Globes, BAFTA and other award galas. The awards given by the Producers Guild of America (PGA), another indicator of success at the Oscars, will be announced on Sunday.
