Paul Nicolau, “alias” Pescobar, reacted in a message on Fascebook after the press wrote that his famous restaurant in London, in Camden Market, was closed due to rent arrears.

“In London, I am closing three locations, which had a 6-hour schedule, in order to relocate to another one with an extended schedule. And related to the debt of 10,000 pounds, I have guarantees of 100,000 pounds there, I notified them that I wanted to leave for a month and I don’t want to anymore. I have never recovered my guarantees. I also open in Vienna, in Bucharest, in Bran. I have the largest chain of restaurants in Europe and after closing the three in London,” reacted in a post on Facebook Pescobar.

The information regarding the closure of the London restaurant was published on the Facebook page “Annunțul UK”, where an official notice appeared on the door of the restaurant. According to the document, the company that manages the restaurant allegedly violated the lease due to rent arrears.

According to the notice displayed at the entrance, the owners of the space applied the legal procedure of “re-entry”which allows the recovery of possession of the building in case of non-compliance with the contract by the tenant. The document states that rent arrears have exceeded seven days.

At that time, the entrepreneur stated that the investment for the opening of the premises amounted to approximately 450,000 pounds.
