The medical caravan organized by the ATI Timișoara Association also arrived at Vălenii de Munte in Prahova county, where dozens of participating doctors offered free consultations to local residents.

The arrived doctors offered consultations in no less than 11 medical specialties including Neurology, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Diabetology and laboratory analysis. Thus, children who need pediatric care, up to the elderly who often face heart conditions have benefited from consultations.
Alexandru Rogobete, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Health, a supporter of access to health, participated in the event at least ten times in similar medical caravans in the last three years.
“Regardless of the community they belong to or where they live, every patient deserves to have access to quality investigations and consultations. We will not leave anyone behind,” said Dr. Rogobete
It should be remembered that every volunteer doctor who was present at this event participated in his free time, being the example of Dr. Dorel Săndesc, who talks about the importance of preventive medicine among communities.
Basically, it helps to discover and treat a condition when it is in its infancy, and the patient does not yet develop serious health problems, but also to provide them with guiding information.
Also, with the help of preventive medicine, the quality of life and life expectancy can be increased by applying some preventive measures.
Dorel Săndesc is an anesthesiologist, and the caravan from Vălenii de Munte took place under his coordination. He is also the president of the Romanian Society of Anesthesia and Intensive Care and a professor at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “V. Babeș” Timișoara.
