PSD President Marcel Ciolacu ironically stated that even Liviu Dragnea is not good at fishing, just as Omar Hayssam was not good at hunting. In the past, Ciolacu was photographed with both of them, but now he claims that he hasn’t hunted for 7 years.

Marcel Ciolacu, the PSD candidate in the presidential elections, was asked, in the Political Insider show, broadcast on Prima TV on Saturday, who was better: Dragnea at fishing or Omar Hayssam at hunting? “Neither one nor the other”replied Ciolacu.
Later, the prime minister spoke about his passion for hunting. “I haven’t hunted for 7 years. I have only one gun, very old, I sat with every screw and cleaned it. For hunters, a “Double Express”, a cheap weapon. When I got to the gun control, I saw how rusty it was. I put oil on it. I will pass it on to my grandchildren, my son does not have this passion, he will be a doctor”said Marcel Ciolacu.
In March 2017, Liviu Dragnea, then leader of the PSD, posted on Facebook a picture of himself fishing with Sorin Grindeanu and Marcel Ciolacu.
“This weekend, I taught Sorin to fish. The big break between the Parliament and the Government took place: I caught 17 pike and he 9. I think it’s very good for a beginner who had never put his hand on a fishing rod! Rowing, an ecologist: Marcel Ciolacu”wrote Dragnea on Facebook.
Also, Marcel Ciolacu appears in a photo hunting together with Omar Hayssam, a Syrian businessman, later sentenced to prison for economic crimes and terrorism.
“Do you know when that picture was taken? 25 years ago. If I can go back in my 30s, I’ll gladly do it. I had no relationship, I went to a hunt to which Omar Hayssam was also invited and from a huge picture, how is it done, when the hunt ends, with the game in front and the hunters around, it was cut out”said the PSD president in August.
