The National Veterinary Sanitary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA) announced the withdrawal from sale of a batch of protein pudding sold in Lidl stores, after the identification of Bacillus cereus bacteria, which can cause gastrointestinal ailments.
“The network of LIDL stores initiated the withdrawal from marketing and the recall from consumers of a batch of protein pudding, following the identification of the presence of the Bacillus cereus bacteria, which can trigger gastrointestinal ailments. Details of the product concerned: Milbona Protein Pudding with chocolate flavor, 200g, manufacturer/supplier: Fude + Serrahn Milchprodukte GmbH & Co. KG, date of minimum durability: 14.09.2026″, sent ANSVSA, on Wednesday, in a post on Facebook.
What should people who bought the product do?
The authority advises consumers who purchased the product from the affected batch not to consume it:
“If you have purchased the mentioned product, do not consume it. You can return it to all Lidl stores and the value of it will be refunded even without presenting the tax receipt.”
Also, the list of Lidl commercial premises where the product was distributed and the official details of the information can be consulted directly in the retailer’s store network.
