The National Audiovisual Council sanctioned on Tuesday, with fines in the amount of 15,000 lei Romania TV, fines also receiving reality plus – 10,000, respectively Telestar 1 – 2,500 lei.

According to a statement of the CNA, transmitted on Tuesday AGERPRES, met in a public meeting, the Council analyzed the reports drawn up by the Monitoring Directorate as a result of the notifications received and decided to apply the following sanctions:
* Fine of 10,000 lei to Romania TV for news and debates from February 18 and 19, during which the provisions of art. 3 para. (2) of the Audiovisual Law 504/2002 and of art. 40 para. (2) of the Audiovisual Code. Displayed titles: “Revolt in the PSD, several branches demand the exclusion of the Sorosists”; “PSD lost 20% because of the Sorosists”;
* Fine of 5,000 lei to Romania TV for the show “Romania you see” from 12.01.2025, an edition in which the provisions of art. 30 and of art. 32 para. (2) of the Audiovisual Code. Among the titles presented are: “What Simion did with the mysterious man in the hotel room”;
* Fine of 10,000 lei to the post Realitatea Plus for non -observance of the provisions of art. 40 para. (2) and of art. 64 para. (1) letter. b) of the Code of regulation of the audiovisual content, at the broadcast of the show “The Sulces of the Parallel State” on February 5.
The CNA mentions that among the titles displayed were: “Accusations: US donations, used for economic espionage”, “top profiler: censorship was funded by America”; “Bomb disclosures, American money used in propaganda”; “What are the NGOs funded by American progressives”; “Civic activists were supported by USAID.”
During this edition, sequences were taken from the show “Marius Tucă Show”, from February 4 posted on the YouTube account “Thinking@gandulophical”. Among the statements of the guest of the show are: “From Funky Citizen, the team was factually called, so USAID, instead of promoting democracy, freedom of information … (…) Freedom of expression, paid a non -governmental organization in Romania. This is very interesting, to say what information is true and what information is (…)”;
* fine of 2,500 lei to the Telestar 1 post for non -observance of the provisions of art. 93^1 para. (1) of the law of the audiovisual, according to which “the broadcaster to which a sanction has been applied or addressed an order to entry into legality by the Council has the obligation to communicate to the public the reasons and the object of the sanction or of the order, in the formulation transmitted by the Council”. The monitoring included the period February 25 – March 3, the time interval 18:00 – 22:00;
* Public order of the post Realitatea Plus for the February 23 edition of the show “The Sulves of the Parallel State”, broadcast without taking into account the provisions of art. 40 para. (5) of the Audiovisual Code, according to which “moderators, presenters and programs do have the obligation not to use and not allow guests to use insulting language or to instigate violence”. Among the statements of the moderator are: “(…) this drain from the living room of the parallel state”;
* Public order of Romania TV for non -observance of the provisions of art. 40 para. (2) of the Code of regulation of the audiovisual content in the shows “Romania TV” and “Romania sees you” from January 26. Among the titles displayed: “Police over George Simion and penalties jumped by DIICOT”; “People scared of the bumps in honor of the godfather Simion”; “The criminal offense and Simion terrorized the neighborhood.”
Also, the Council decided to apply a public order to the company Averete Media SRL in Argeş (Super TV) for non -observance of the provisions of art. 54 para. (2) and 58 para. (1) of the audiovisual law.
