Sorin Grindeanu, the president of the Chamber of Deputies, requested on Thursday from the interim minister of European Funds, Dragoş Pîslaru, the list of legislative projects necessary to accelerate the absorption of funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). The PSD leader claims that MIPE did not submit any list of projects.
In an officially sent letter, Grindeanu emphasizes that he expects “with speed” an answer, according to Agerpres.
The social democrat says that, during the consultations initiated at the end of April by the president Nicusor Dan with the parties from the former governing coalition, all formations reaffirmed their support for the adoption of the normative acts necessary for the implementation of the PNRR reforms.
“I am sending you a request to which I expect a quick response from you, considering the importance of the subject for Romania’s economy. Thus, I remind you: during the consultations carried out by President Nicusor Dan with the parties that formed the governing coalition, consultations that took place at the end of April this year, all the participating parties reaffirmed their full support for the necessary normative acts in order to achieve the reforms, targets and benchmarks in a timely manner National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR)”, it is shown in the letter.
Grindeanu continues, in the same document:
“Although I have shown on numerous occasions my interest in supporting the Government’s efforts, I note, with regret and surprise, that both as president of the Chamber of Deputies and as president of the Social Democratic Party, I have not received any request on the subject of PNRR from the Ministry of Investments and European Projects, which you lead”
The leader of the PSD reproaches the ministry that, although he is the national coordinator of the implementation of the PNRR, he did not submit to the Parliament any list of the normative acts that are in the procedure or that should be introduced in the legislative circuit.
“In support of the commitment assumed towards the President of Romania and the loyal cooperation between the Government and the Parliament, please send me as soon as possible the list of legislative projects that must be approved in the Parliament in order to achieve a higher degree of absorption of funds from PNRR”, Sorin Grindeanu said.
