The social-democratic leader Sorin Grindeanu talked for 30 minutes with the president Nicușor Dan, during the meeting of the two in Cotroceni, informed political sources.
The meeting took place before the PSD president left for the territory for the last regional meetings of the party and comes after the head of state had a two-hour discussion with Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, which took place on Wednesday.
The discussion between the president and the prime minister would have taken place in a context marked by sensitive topics on the government agenda and the need for high-level institutional coordination.
Meanwhile, the leadership of the Social Democratic Party put together the final details of the plan to remove Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan from office. According to information obtained by “The Truth”if Bolojan does not leave the Victoria Palace by April 23, the social democratic ministers will submit their resignations.
On Wednesday, the president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, warned of a sharp deterioration of the economic indicators and demanded a “hard reset” of government policies, against the background of some data that they consider alarming.
Social democratic sources claim that the prime minister should submit his resignation without the need for a parliamentary procedure. If Ilie Bolojan refuses this step, PSD will support the censure motion prepared by AUR and PACE. According to the Law, in the situation where the PSD ministers present their resignations, Ilie Bolojan has 45 days to request a vote of confidence before the Parliament.
