Inter Milan are looking for a new goalkeeper for next season, as Yann Sommer approaches his departure from the team. The Italians want to bring in an experienced goalkeeper who can directly enter the fight for the starting position.
The first option considered was Guglielmo Vicario, but the transfer of the goalkeeper from Tottenham became too expensive for the representatives of the club from Cizma.
After negotiations stalled, Inter turned to Kepa Arrizabalaga. The Spanish goalkeeper is now at Arsenal but has not been a regular starter, being used less often than David Raya.
Even so, Kepa remains an important name in European football. He still holds the record for the most expensive goalkeeper in history after Chelsea paid €80 million for his transfer in 2018.
In his career, the Spaniard also spent time at Real Madrid and Bournemouth, and he has two UEFA Champions League trophies in his record, won with Chelsea and Real Madrid.
