The stART Scholarships, the program carried out by the School of Values in partnership with Provident Financial Romania, continues to inspire and transform the lives of young artists.
On the occasion of the tenth edition, the story of this project became known to many parents and high school students attracted to art. Thus, 2,500 teenagers enrolled in the program, a record for stART Scholarships.
“Through this program, we offer young artists not only financial support, but also mentorship and networking opportunities, essential for their growth and affirmation. We firmly believe that investing in the education and artistic talent of young people contributes to the cultural enrichment of our society and the formation of a generation of innovative and inspired creators”, declares Silvia Bogdan, president of the School of Values.
Support for artistic excellence
This year, 60 talented high school students will receive financial and educational support through the stART Scholarships, including, for the first time, theater and acting scholarships. Each scholar will benefit from a total funding of 8,000 lei during one school year, support that includes a monthly stipend of 300 lei and funds for the purchase of materials, courses, and other needs related to their development. Thus, enthusiasts of painting, drawing, music, dance and the arts of the future (vlogging, creative writing or photography) will have the chance to access other means of improving artistic practices.
“We believe in the importance of the right support received at the right time. For 10 years, we have proudly assumed the responsibility of supporting young people to dare to take the first steps on their way to turn their talent into a career”, says Florin Bâlcan, general manager of Provident Romania.
Over the years, the stART Scholarships have been an essential support for nearly 400 high school students. Their story becomes a source of inspiration for other talented young people:
Eduard Stoica, scholarship holder in the music section: “My experience in the “stART Scholarships” project was a great one. In addition to the fact that I had financial support, which was useful to me in acquiring new, better performing instruments, I had the chance to work with very good mentors.”
Ana-Maria Pascu, scholarship holder in the painting/drawing section: “I’ve been drawing since I knew myself, it was that moment when I said enough, this is what I want to do! Here, at Bursele stART, you can find those people who will help you understand that it is possible. “
A project with a real social and cultural impact
The stART Scholarships are more than an artistic initiative; they represent a model of social engagement and an education platform. The project collaborates with teachers, mentors, but also parents, encouraging the discovery and support of talents from the whole country, both from urban and rural environments.
Through this program, Provident Financial Romania strengthens its mission to invest in the future of the community, proving that art and education can change destinies.
