Steluța’s husband beat FCSB. The Superliga champion has yet another deplorable season in the Romanian Cup

UTA beat FCSB 3-0 on Wednesday evening in the Romanian Football Cup, a competition that the president of Bucharest, Mihai Stoica, used to say was a “losers’ competition”.

FCSB, who came to Arad with an experimental formula, remained with 10 men in the 34th minute, when Robert Necșulescu (18 years old) was eliminated.

After the break, the goals flowed one to the champion’s goal. Former Dynamo player and speedster Valentin Costache scored first (54), followed by Marius Oman (60) and the North Macedonian Din Alomerovic (90+4).

UTA is above FCSB and in the championship. With 25 points, the team coached by Adrian Mihalcea (49 years old), ridiculed during his time as a player at Dinamo due to the fact that his wife’s name is Steluța, has 25 points, being in 7th place. The champion is in 9th place, with 24 points, after 18 completed stages.

After this match, which counted for the second stage of Group B, UTA has 6 points, followed by Craiova University, FCSB and Gloria Bistrița, all with 3 points, Petrolul Ploiești, one point, and Sănătatea Cluj, no point. Craiova and Petrolul have a game in hand, and will play on Thursday.
