Boarding students no longer miss school hours. Starting in 2026, teachers can apply for “Hospital School,” a program that brings school to them, where they need it most.
The Ministry of Education and Research announced on Monday, January 19, the launch of the call for the year 2026 regarding the selection of teachers who want to enter the National Teachers’ Corps for the “Hospital School” program.
The initiative gives teachers the opportunity to teach boarding students, so that they do not interrupt their educational journey due to medical problems.
The call is addressed to teachers at all levels of education, from early childhood and primary to secondary, high school and professional. Both teachers who already teach in hospitals and those who want to start such an activity can apply.
“Registration is done exclusively electronically, and applications are submitted throughout the calendar year”, the Ministry of Education sent.
The selection process is detailed in a special section on the institution’s website, and the results will be published no later than three months after submitting the application.
The list of admitted and rejected candidates will be displayed on the official page of the Ministry of Education and Research, www.edu.ro, in the Competitions section.
The “Hospital School” program aims to support hospitalized children and young people, giving them access to education even during difficult periods of treatment and recovery, so that they remain connected to school and to the normal pace of learning.
