Mihai Mărgineanu told on social networks that he received a summons from the court, with the mention “respondent – criminal”, in which he was warned that if he did not show up on time, he would be brought with the police.

“You have the right to hire a lawyer! (sit down…three!)”joked the artist, who admitted that he initially panicked, thinking he had done something serious, writes Mediafax.

“When you’re a man like me, who pays his taxes on time, doesn’t run red lights and behaves nicely with girls, you think that maybe you’ve done something without realizing it. You make all kinds of movies,” Mărgineanu wrote.

Surprise: fine from Austria

After hiring a lawyer and learning the details of the case, the surprise came: the summons was actually related to a traffic fine received in Austria.

Traffic fine in Austria! Well, are you stupid?! When you enter this country … full of humorless people – logically, because they kicked out all their funny boys – you have to be careful if you exceed the speed limit by 3 km/h. You get a fine and the prosecutor’s office calls you to appeal”, wrote, ironically, the actor.

“I’m waiting for it to be prescribed. It’s all the rage in Romania”

Mărgineanu says the whole situation was absurd and that although he paid a lawyer to handle his “case”, the costs were higher than the fine itself.

“Because this communication could be done through normal channels – and it wasn’t done – I’ll wait for it to be prescribed. Because it’s still fashionable in Romania and it worked for others!”Mihai Mărgineanu concluded, in his ironic style.
