The bronze medal in the women's bobsled-2 event, at the Altenberg World Cup

The Romanians Andreea Grecu and Teodora Andreea Vlad won the bronze medal in the women's bobsleigh 2, on Sunday, at the World Cup in Altenberg (Germany).

Grecu and Vlad were clocked with a time of 1 min 54 sec 16/100, being overtaken by two German crews, Laura Nolte/Deborah Levi (1:52.53) and Kim Kalicki/Anabel Galander (1:53.17).

In the monobob, Andreea Grecu missed the podium by one hundredth of a second. She was clocked in 2min 01sec 56/100, while Germany's Lisa Buckwitz finished in 2min 01sec 55/100. Laura Nolte was the first (2:01.29), and the American Elana Meyers Taylor placed second (2:01.52).

In men's bob-2, Mihai Cristian Tentea and George Iordache took 11th place (1:52.70), 1 sec 29/100 of the winners.

In the men's bob-4 race, Romania (Mihai Cristian Tentea, Constantin Dinescu, Mihai Daniel Pacioianu, George Iordache) took 10th place (1:50.09), 1 sec 54/100 of the winners.
