The 911 call for help provides the first clues to the death of Victoria Jones, 34, the daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones, who was found dead in a San Francisco hotel.
According to a recording obtained by TMZ through Broadcastify, the intervention was classified by the right emergency service “code 3 for overdose, color change”. Code 3 signals a major emergency, requiring immediate dispatch of crews with sirens and flashing lights.
The 911 call was made before 3 a.m. on January 1, 2026 and immediately medical crews went to the scene and tried to resuscitate Victoria Jones, but without success, she was eventually pronounced dead at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.
Although the emergency call mentioned the possibility of an overdose, no objects or substances indicating drug use were found near the body, and also police sources confirmed that there were no signs of murder or physical trauma on the victim’s body.
The authorities emphasized that it is not possible to speculate on the exact cause of death until the autopsy is completed and that the investigation remains open.
According to a source quoted by the Daily Mail, Victoria Jones was found lying on the floor on the 14th floor of the Fairmont Hotel by another guest, who initially thought she might be under the influence of alcohol and alerted the hotel staff.
The employees intervened immediately and called 911, performing cardio-respiratory resuscitation maneuvers while waiting for the medical crews.
Until this moment there is no clear information if the daughter of the Hollywood star was staying at the hotel or how she got to that floor, the sources of the investigation stated. The San Francisco Police Department has asked for the public’s help and is asking anyone with information about Victoria’s death to contact them.
“On January 1, 2026, at approximately 3:14 a.m., officers responded to a hotel located in the 900 block of Mason Street following a report of a deceased person,” said the police spokesman.
“On scene, medical personnel pronounced an adult female deceased and the medical examiner conducted a preliminary investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact SFPD at 415-575-4444 or text TIP411, beginning with SFPD,” the authorities sent.
Victoria Jones was the daughter of Tommy Lee Jones and his second wife, Kimberlea Cloughley, with whom the actor was married between 1981 and 1996.
