The PSD has already announced, by the voice of Mayor Lia Olguţa Vasilescu, that he agrees with a reduction of 30% of the total number of positions, but not more than 20% of the number of totally occupied positions but also that the mayors and presidents of the CJ have a second option, the 10% reduction of the salary budget.
“It was very good that I blocked this package when discussing the 45% reduction in the number of positions, because it would have blocked the local administration, because it started from the wrong premises, wrong figures. The authorizing officers – mayors, heads of county councils – have a second option, respectively the 10% reduction of personnel expenses ”announced Olguța Vasilescu.
The interim president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, said on Monday that it is mandatory, from the perspective of the Social Democrats, as on package 3, the package that refers to the local administration, central administration, to have the economic relaunch part, specifying that tomorrow they will send these proposals to the coalition partners.
In addition, discounts should be done in the central administration.
At the meeting last week, the leaders of the coalition parties, along with the minorities, decided to postpone the final decision regarding the reduction of the local expenses.
The last variant discussed in the coalition was:
10% reduction of the positions occupied in the local administration.
10% reduction of wage expenses in the central administration.
In this chapter, the abolition or merging of some institutions is taken into account. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan would have agreed with the option to make savings both by reducing personnel and by cutting expenses, as long as the positions from the local level, those occupied, are reduced by 10%. The calculations would have been made on approximately 12,000 national layoffs.
Initially, Bolojan rejected the proposals from PSD and UDMR to cut the budgets of the town halls, instead of the prison, on the grounds that these discounts will not produce real effects, but can only be made on paper.
The elections for the Capital City Hall, another topic of discussion
And the elections in the capital represent a topic of discussion, in Tuesday’s coalition.
Grindeanu said that the PSD has stated some conditions, namely that they want either to be a common candidate, all the coalition parties, or each party have their own candidate, separately, showing that these conditions will be written, if the other parties will agree, as an annex to the Alliance’s protocol.
The leader of the USR senators, Stefan Pălărie, announced that this week, the Government and the Coalition must decide and give the decision to organize the local elections, in Bucharest but also in the localities in the country where there are no elected mayors, specifying that the USR will put pressure on the Government, including the prime minister, to clear this topic.
He also said that the PSD comes with a condition, to organize the elections, namely a unique candidate of the coalition, which, in his opinion, is a “toxic and bankruptcy”.
Kelemen Hunor: “The coalition is extremely stable, no one has to be worried”
The day before, the leader of the UDMR, Kelemen Hunor, assured that the current coalition “It is extremely stable ”, writes Agerpres.
“The coalition is extremely stable, no one should be worried. I saw, last week, when I discussed rectification, PSD and PNL understand each other perfectly.
When it came to cutting from investments, they understood each other perfectly and I said another thing and Fritz supported me, if the two games make decisions, then we can be right, as they recognized, but, of course, things will not change. And here, at rectification, unfortunately, those investments that support the Romanian economy and companies were not supported by our colleagues”, Said on Monday, in a press conference held in Arad, the UDMR leader.
Kelemen Hunor said he supports Ilie Bolojan, as well as PSD, because “He is a man who wants to do everything to be done. “
“Do not leave the PSD from the government, stay quiet. We all support Bolojan, I know he is a man who wants to do everything to be done, which is why I support him and PSD does not leave the government. PSD and PNL understand each other perfectly. There are discussions, each on certain arguments and message to a certain area, but I will not leave.
The PSD will take over the government in April 2027, why leave the government? Then how will the government take over in 2027, who? Of course, everyone makes politics, but I have no emotion regarding the stability of the government ”said the president of the UDMR.
