Alejandra Rodriguez became Miss Universe Buenos Aires at 60 years old

The 60-year-old lawyer and journalist says that her incredible appearance is due to the lifestyle she has, specifying that she respects the diet she has established and which is not extreme and remains active, reports The Sun.

“It is very important to have a healthy life, to eat well, to do physical activity”, Alejandra Rodriguez told Argentine television El Trece. “Normal care, nothing too extraordinary and a bit of geneticsshe also said.

Alejandra Rodriguez also believes that it is essential to integrate a healthy diet and intermittent fasting into the diet.

“What I try to do is intermittent fasting, I think it helps a lot. Then I try to eat organic food, lots of fruit, lots of vegetables and use good creams,” she revealed the secret of beauty.

Intermittent fasting is an eating pattern where you cycle between periods of eating and fasting, says Healthline. Intermittent fasting says nothing about what foods to eat, but rather when you should eat them.

She also exercises three times a week, mainly walking and some jogging, but nothing too extreme.

True beauty “has no expiration date”

The newly crowned Miss Buenos Aires highlighted two other essential factors that contributed to her success: “faith and the desire to be yourself can testify to true beauty, which has no expiration date.”

Alejandra Rodriguez became a journalist right out of high school, before studying law and becoming legal counsel for a hospital, she says.

“In my day and in my social circle, you had to learn; what was expected of me was to go to college, get a degree,” Rodríguez recalls. She also said she had to get over it “stereotypes and prejudices” before entering the competition for the title of Miss.

“I trained physically, worked on my confidence and improved my skills on stage. I wanted to show that the power of women has no limits.” she explained.

“As a result of all of this, I've been getting a lot of calls from friends, people who are inspired like, 'if she's 60 and doing this, we can do it too.' They say that today's 60s are the 40s of yesteryear,” says Rodríguez. “It's a new youth, people are living longer, they're taking better care of themselves, there's access to other opportunities. There is a new paradigm in age,” concluded the 60-year-old Miss Universe Buenos Aires.
