The fabulous amount that Elvis Presley’s famous “Blue Suede Shoes” could sell for VIDEO

A pair of Elvis Presley shoes is expected to fetch £120,000 at auction on Friday. What’s more, the blue suede shoes were worn by the king of rock’n’roll in the 1950s, according to The Guardian.

According to the quoted source, as he was going to enlist in the American army, the singer offered the shoes to a friend. Apparently Presley bought them after he released the song “Blue Suede Shoes” by Carl Perkins.

The pair of shoes could sell for £100,000-£120,000. This is to be auctioned at Henry Aldridge & Son in Devizes, Wiltshire.

The song “Blue Suede Shoes” was written and first recorded by Perkins in 1955. A year later, Presley recorded the song on his debut album.

When Elvis enlisted in the US Army, he had a date at Graceland. Elvis called a few people over and gave away some of the clothes he didn’t think he would need or want when he got back from the military.

The gentleman in question was Alan Fortas, he was Elvis’ branch manager and a friend of his,” said auctioneer Andrew Aldridge.

The shoes worn by Presley could be seen over time in various museums.

A year ago, an American collector came into possession of a mink coat that belonged to Presley. He pocketed £128,000.
