The Constitutional Court of Romania announced on Friday evening that it already has two files regarding the president’s choice procedure.
UPDATE: In the viewfinder would be the settlement in the case of Petru Mîndru, whose candidacy was rejected by the bulb, after transmitting the necessary documents on the email. Petru Mîndru is a close relative of Gheorghe Funar, former mayor of Cluj-Napoca. Mîndru has a series of controversial posts on his Facebook page. Recently, he has redistributed a post in which Radu Theodoru, the 101 -year -old general accused of betrayal, is praised.
According to CCR sources, the meeting will not be related to the candidacy of Călin Georgescu. In the case of a possible appeal against the sovereign, it would be automatically rejected by the CRR judges, because it should be transmitted after the validation of the BEC candidacy.

Appeals to the bulb
At the same time, today two appeals were submitted to the bulb regarding the candidacy of Călin Georgescu. One of them was deposited by Remus Pricopie, the rector SNSPA. The second of a lawyer from Arad. But the bulb has 48 hours to register or not a submitted candidacy, and within 24 hours appeals can be filed that are resolved by the CCR.
The rector SNSPA asks the Central Electoral Bureau:
• verification of the fulfillment of the substantive and form conditions provided by law for the candidacy for the position of President of Romania in 2025 and,
• Rejection of the candidacy of Mr. Călin Georgescu, in the elections for the position of president of Romania from 2025, finding that the eligibility conditions provided by the constitutional provisions of art.1 (3) and (5), of art.82 paragraph (2), correlated with those of art.148 and 149, with reference to the values of the democracy, to the state of the state, Their political-military, respectively the membership of Romania at the EU and NATO.
The approach is based, according to the statement transmitted, on the fact that the BEC has to analyze the candidates in relation to the form and substantive conditions provided by Law no. 370/2004 regarding the election of the President of Romania, as well as in relation to the decisions of the Constitutional Court (CCR) in the matter of the presidential elections pronounced under art. 146 letter. f) of the Constitution, as these decisions reflect an objective electoral litigation and are generally obligatory (all the decisions taken in this matter specify this expressly).
In the competence of the BEC there is an obligation to analyze the conditions of constitutional eligibility, explained in Antena 3 CNN, lawyer Bogdan Ionescu.
The two stressed that they also prepared the appeals for the RCC.
Calin Georgescu has applied on Friday, March 7, in a lot bath in front of the BEC headquarters. Another candidacy was submitted by the mayor of the capital, Nicușor Dan.
BEC also rejected the first candidacy. This is the candidacy of Petru Mîndru for the elections for the President of Romania in 2025. According to the BEC, the independent candidacy of Petru Mîndru was transmitted by e-mail within the legal term, but the documents had to be submitted to the central electoral office.
