Ciprian Teleman related the problems he encountered, at the counter of the population records in Corbeanca (Ilfov county) when he wanted to change his identity document valid with the new chip bulletin.
“At the release of the ID electronic book It is a small interrogation, which stopped at me when the lady from the counter saw that only the wife is passed in the sale-purchase act. When she bought the land, my wife put it on her behalf and for that she has to come physically to the population records, at Corbeanca, to attest that I am the probably husband.”Said the former minister, for Hotnews.
“The procedure for changing a document valid with a new one is identical to the old procedure for changing a document, ie presenting the documents in original“He added.
He also claimed that the “bureaucracy” will be an obstacle to obtaining the new electronic identity act.
“It seems to me that this bureaucracy does not stimulate the adoption of the new electronic identity act. In Corbeanca, where I was, they told me that the law had not changed and they are obliged to ask for documents according to the old law“He explained.
The former minister of digitalization says that apart from the fact that he must come with his wife at the counter, he was also asked to present the birth certificate, the marriage, the property documents and a new certificate of street nomenclature.
He also referred to the questionnaire that the applicants must be completed at the counter.
“They asked me what is the military situation (reservist, grade), the last level of studies, the function I have now and the occupation. I said I am an entrepreneur. He was looking for about 5 minutes and did not find an entrepreneur as a “occupation” and asked me: “Can I pass you” company administrator “? And I said there is no problem that I am a company administrator. Finally the lady from the counter showed me a questionnaire that I signed that the data is in accordance“He said.
What the Romanians claim
And the former minister is not the only one who advertises problems about getting the new identity card
“No readers for new books. They were only released so that the EU funds were not lost. Not having the past domicile explicitly but digitally stored, the card cannot be used. I arrived, with the online programming at the population records and I gave up when I learned all the details from the officer there …“, A person wrote at a Facebook post of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) in which the new site of the ID (those) electronic book is presented.
Citizens also argue that new documents cannot be read to notaries, banks or other institutions.
“Many people … have problems with notaries, banks or other institutions because they do not have bulletin readers, so they cannot validate your home. In order to go to a notary who does not have a card/bulletin reader, you must go to the population record to issue a certificate in which the residence is noted. What are the solutions you take or advise us to take in such circumstances?”, Asks another person.
The electronic identity card (those) is an identity card the size of a bank card (Format ID1), having advanced security and anti-control characteristics, which allows the holder to prove identity, physical and digital environment, and access the digital services offered by public authorities and private entities, mentioned on the site of the electronic book.
The first ID electronic book is free of charge For Romanian citizens starting at the age of 14, within the limits of the funds provided by the National Plan of Redress and Resilitis (PNRR), the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) informed.
The Identity Electronic Book contains, in printed format, the following information:
– front: the name of the issuing state, the name and surname of the holder, sex, citizenship, date of birth, personal numeric code, document number, expiration date, holographic signature and facial image;
– verso: the date of issuing and the issuing authority, the automatic reading area, the CIP area.
The citizens who expire the validity of the identity document, but do not want to obtain the electronic identity card, have the variant of requesting a simple identity card (CIS). Citizens can request the issuance of an electronic identity card, regardless of the validity period of the current identity document.
