On Thursday, the government approved the modernization project of the National Employment Agency (ANOFM), announced the Minister of Labor, Florin Manole. According to him, the main objective of the program is to increase the real chances that people looking for a job will receive effective support adapted to the current needs of the labor market.
“Today in the Government we approved the modernization of ANOFM. For me, the stake of this project is very concrete: to increase people’s real chances of finding a job. We use European funds not only to modernize an institution, but to better reach every person who needs support, whether we are talking about young people at the beginning of their journey, people who want to retrain or people from vulnerable groups”. the Minister of Labor wrote on Facebook.
The project, financed by EU funds, aims to expand ANOFM services to and identify hundreds of thousands of inactive people who could be integrated into the labor market:
“Through this project, we want to bring into service more than 21,000 employers, identify and support 275,000 inactive people and train almost 2,000 employees of the public employment system.”
The modernization of the institution also involves supplementing the staff, by creating 600 positions financed from European funds, the minister also says.
Florin Manole claims that this expansion will allow advice closer to beneficiaries and more efficient services in an economic context where market demands change rapidly.
