Before Christmas, the players and management of the Inter Milan club made a special visit to the pediatric ward of San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, to bring a touch of joy to hospitalized children.
Cristi Chivu, the coach of the team, together with the vice-president Javier Zanetti, the defender Denzel Dumfries, the young Pio Esposito and several members of the Primavera youth team, gave gifts and spent time with the little patients, turning the day into an unforgettable moment.
On a sporting level, Inter is going through a good period under the management of Chivu. The team is the leader in Serie A and remains among the top eight in the Champions League group. However, the start of the season also brought difficult moments, including losing the Italian Super Cup in the semi-finals against Bologna.
“Gifts in the form of t-shirts and gadgets!”
The Gruppo San Donato ETS Foundation conveyed that the presence of the delegation was appreciated and brought a lot of warmth to the hospitalized children, marking a moment of solidarity from the club: “The great heart of Milanese football beats for the little ones. San Raffaele Hospital’s pediatric ward was colored black and blue thanks to the pre-Christmas visit of a large Inter delegation led by vice-president Javier Zanetti, coach Cristian Chivu and Denzel Dumfries.
Through smiles, applause and the traditional photos, the players of the men’s and women’s first teams, the U23 team and the Primavera team, together with the legend of the nrazzurri Francesco Toldo, brought gifts in the form of shirts and gadgets to fans young and old, offering a precious moment of joy and sharing!“.

Constant involvement throughout the year
Club Inter has sent, through an official statement, that the visits and support actions for the community are part of a continuous program of social involvement throughout the whole year.
“Inter supports the city’s pediatric hospitals and wards throughout the year through various initiatives, such as stadium invitations and the Cup Winners’ Cup, the tournament in which young patients from European pediatric oncology units participate.
It is an ongoing commitment that finds one of its most significant moments during the Christmas season. According to tradition, at Christmas, the Nerazzurri family visited the pediatric wards to share a moment of joy with the young patients and medical staff. A simple but precious gesture that every year renews the link between the Club and the healthcare institutions in the city!“the Italians reported, on the official website.
