“The consultations had in mind the measures to ensure the necessary resources for the performance of ambulance services. Thus, this medical service will be equipped with new ambulances, the public procurement procedure having already been initiated, a step that comes in response to one of the important needs sent by the representatives of the union”. according to a press release from the Executive.
Another topic discussed during the prime minister's meeting with the union representatives was the provision of human resources – medical intervention personnel.
The Prime Minister pointed out that contests can be organized to fill a number of 360 vacant positions during the past year, following the Government's approval of a Memorandum in this regard. Competitions can be organized for the vacant positions this year without the need for the approval of this approach through a Government Memorandum.
“The quick and professional interventions of the ambulance service save lives and protect people's health. The government gives full attention and support to the medical staff. We will collaborate very closely so that this service benefits from new ambulances, the human resource it needs, as well as the adaptation of the legislative framework“, said Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.
The representatives of the Trade Union Federation appreciated the discussion framework and the openness to dialogue shown by the Government.
In the next period, the National Trade Union Federation “Ambulanța” will communicate to the Government the information that argues the necessary requests for updating the legislative framework for organization and operation.
According to the cited source, the prime minister and the government team together with the union have committed to having a new meeting as soon as possible, after the coordination of all this data, in which specialists with applied experience can participate who can contribute to the detailed outline of the necessary changes.
Along with Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, Deputy Prime Minister Marian Neacșu, the Minister of Finance, Marcel Boloș, and the head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, Alexandru-Mihai Ghigiu, also participated in the consultations at the Victoria Palace.
