Spain is hit by the worst floods in decades.

The storm began on Tuesday and has so far killed at least 158 people, including 155 in the worst-hit region of Valencia.

The storm flooded cities and roads, caused rivers to burst their banks and left thousands without electricity or running water.

Spain’s meteorological office, Aemet, said more than 300 liters of rain per square meter (30 centimeters) fell on Tuesday in the area between Utiel and the town of Chiva, about 50 kilometers away. In Khiva, rainfall recorded in almost a year fell in just eight hours.
