For six months, in the commune of Vulturești in Argeș, the first professional pre -university campus in Romania in Romania has been worked. And the first students’ selections for the 2025-2026 school year started last weekend.

The future campus from the Argeșean commune Vulturești, located 35 kilometers from Pitești, will cover all the pre -university education cycles: primary, gymnasium, high school and post -secondary, including teachers, who will teach a modern program to train specialists on certifications required by economic agents.

“The first meetings for the selection of students started last weekend and will take place until June 1, 2025 in the villages of Arges, about 50 kilometers from Vulturești. The first 300 students (out of 1200) will start studying on campus right from the 2025-2026 school year.

“We have 8 finished terraces and we passed in a new stage: the preparation of steel structures and the pouring of the support wall foundation. In September, when we will inaugurate the campus, we will have 2 fully completed terraces, with classrooms and laboratories prepared to meet the students from the preparatory class, the class of VA and the 9th grade. The campus will have a total of 7.2 hectares, lands provided free of charge by the Vulturești City Hall, to be equipped with all the spaces and facilities for the more than 300 students who will study here.

Guaranteed jobs for graduates

The students who will study at the campus in Vulturești will be selected according to the skills they have, will receive scholarships, and at the end of the studies will have an insured job.

“Students in the dual classes will also receive scholarships from companies where they will practice for 3 years, to encourage their studies and learn a job, so that they will have a guaranteed job.”says Mihaela Petrovan.

The campus will be made available free of charge to the students (carefully selected) and will be provided with all the necessary facilities to support the educational & professional performance: with classrooms ‘removed’ in nature, workshops, laboratories, library, showroom, field and gym, amphitheater, relaxation spaces, mini Workshop of tailoring, orchard, garden and vegetable greenhouses. From the primary classes, the students will have both theoretical and practical activities, to experience what suits them and to develop their skills, then having the opportunity to prepare for the most requested trades in their own county. In addition, the training in the Dual Professional System will provide them with thousands of hours of practice, both at the headquarters of the zone economic operators and in the social enterprises that will be opened on the Bookland campus to ensure the sustainability.

Among the specializations available in the first dual classes that will be launched in September 2025, depending on the requests of the Argeșeni economic agents, the following are: tourism technician (hotel worker), technician in economic activities (receptionist-distributor / trader-trader), technician in the food industry (bakery-pap. vegetables and fruits / operator in the oil / operator industry in the abovation of sugar and sugary products / preparatory products of meat and fish / preparatory milk products), technician processing on numerical control machines (operator with numerical control cars), electromechanical technician (equipment and industrial installations / central electricity / equipment / equipment / equipment. refrigeratorist) or mechatronist technician (mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic equipment / subassemblor installer operator).

The investment on the campus in Vulturești is over 5 million euros, with the involvement of several private companies.

In the last seven years, the Bookland Association has managed to renovate 80 schools and kindergartens in the rural area.
