According to the representatives of the three unions, approximately 2,000 people are expected to participate in the protest scheduled between 11:30 and 14:00.

The trade unionists are dissatisfied with the measures adopted by the Executive, which “influences remuneration, working conditions, status and dignity of the teaching profession”. Also, the protest comes after the teachers found out that since January 1, many no longer receive the food allowance or vacation vouchers.
Rumors of a further increase in the rate and the restrictions already in place further increase the upheaval.
The trade unions in pre-university education accuse that Law no. 141/2025 and the austerity measures have created a serious crisis in the system: classes are overcrowded, with more than 32 students in some cases, and from the next school year 2,000 positions will disappear due to the reduction in the number of classes.
Teachers feel insecure, students are directly affected, and educational communities face tension and uncertainty. The unions accuse the permanent underfunding of education and the lack of resources necessary for a quality education.
