The PSD MEP Mihai Tudose claimed to Digi24 that he does not believe that the PSD door is still open for the deputy general secretary of NATO, denying that the party would have proposed him to run for the presidency, as stated by Micrea Geoană.

“I don't think she's open anymore after the way she behaved. (…) Mr. Geoană is the only one who said, sir, I want to run. He didn't take it, but he walks around with an ax in his hand, but he says he wants to cook dumplings. I only believe in those polls that come out of the ballot box“, said Mihai Tudose to Digi24, when asked if the party still keeps the door open for Mircea Geoană.
The MEP also explained: “proclaiming himself to be the only solution, explaining to us that only he can win and waiting, possibly, for us to have a negotiation as well. I mean yes, please come to us, save us! Not“.
The former prime minister denied that there was ever a discussion in the party of Mirceaa Geoaană's proposal for the 2024 presidential elections.
