The University of Cluj managed to beat the play-off codas, FC Argeș, in the 6th stage of the upper group of the Superliga, with a saving goal that came in the minutes of extra time. One step away from drastically reducing their chances for the first title in history, the students are now putting pressure on the University of Craiova, taking the lead on goal difference.
The Oltenians are obliged to beat Dinamo on Sunday evening (9 p.m., live on Digisport 1 and PrimaSport 1), especially since they will only play hot matches in the remaining three games until the end of the season, at CFR Cluj, with U Cluj and at Rapid.
The game with FC Argeș went in one direction. However, the “red caps” missed opportunity after opportunity and, as the ball did not want to enter the goal of the Pitesti team, it seemed that the match was headed for a clean draw. But Chipciu was fouled in the box by Borța and veteran Dan Nistor scored from the penalty spot with a strong shot in the middle of the goal.
U was coming off two consecutive away defeats, while FC Argeș have lost their last three play-off matches and have just two points earned in their last six stages.

It ended 1-0, a result with which the students tied on points with the University of Craiova, so the end of the season is expected to be extremely tight. In other games of the day, Oțelul – Metaloglobus ended in a draw, 2-2, just as Farul and FC Botoșani did, 1-1.
