Moments of panic for a woman from Galati county, after a two-meter-long snake hid under an armchair in her house. The owner of the house called 112 and asked for help from the authorities.
The Galați gendarmes intervened following a call to 112 that reported the presence of a snake of approximately 2 meters in a house in the Vânători commune.
“The owner announced that the reptile had entered the house and was hiding under an armchair in the hall, generating a state of fear for the owner”, the Galati Gendarmerie sent.
When the gendarme crew arrived, the snake was no longer in the place indicated by the woman.
He was later located in an outbuilding of the household, where he had been hiding between the ceiling and a tall cupboard.
The reptile was captured by the gendarmes and released into the natural environment, on the shores of Lake Brateș, far from inhabited areas.
