Video George Simion calls for protests again: “Stop commenting online, take to the streets!”

AUR leader George Simion sent a mobilizing message at the beginning of the year to party members, asking them to pay their dues for 2026 and get actively involved in the party’s political actions. At the same time, he announced the organization of a new protest against the current government.

The demonstration is scheduled for Thursday, January 15, from 6:00 p.m., in Bucharest’s University Square. Simion asked supporters to take to the streets and not limit themselves to online criticism.

“Protest on Thursday, January 15, from 6:00 p.m. I’ll see you in University Square, at the statues. Stop commenting, stop criticizing behind some accounts and on social networks, make efforts, even if it’s cold, go to the streets, fight for what’s yours, if you don’t like Simion, make a protest, organize yourself in a party, just do something, because we have to get rid of this government.

We are preparing more public actions, but we are going to America, but maybe some of you do not agree, but in general, those in the globalist current do not agree with what I said in the campaign, in the current world chaos. We believe that this is the way forward for Romania. A country that is in a hybrid regime. A country that is no longer a democracy, a country where the elections have been cancelled, we must put an end to it”, George Simion said in a Facebook post.

At the same time, the AUR leader announced that he will also participate in a protest organized by the Conservative Action, a group led by Claudiu Târziu, against the Wexler Law. Simion stated that his party will support any demonstration that it considers legitimate and aligned with national values.

“Let’s take this battle to the end. We will be there with every serious protest against the current coalition that is carried out in a national spirit. That is exactly why we agree to participate in the conservative action, the rally organized by the conservative action against the Wexler Act and any other protest, as we have announced.

We’ll be there shoulder to shoulder, but get involved too.

The reason why they are so scared and the reason why you see that in Romania there are more articles critical of the opposition than of the government, is because we have a dangerous score and they don’t know how to lower us, they don’t know how to denigrate us, they don’t know how to influence you to break away from us”. the AUR leader also said.

In the second part of the message, George Simion addressed issues related to the internal organization of the party, asking all members to reconfirm their status and pay the annual fee.

“All members of AUR from past years must reconfirm their membership in January. Starting January 1st, go to the applications and reconfirm your membership of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians. Pay your dues for this year. If you are in the local councils, oppose the new taxes and the court appeals, and on January 24th we will do an unprecedented action, a pilot action for repatriation to the Romanians, targeting this year, but also the years to come.

So on January 24, instead of being a very large number, as we were usually in Iași and Focșani and Bucharest, we will also be in 40 Romanian communities in the diaspora where we launch this project back home, to bring part of the Romanians who have gone abroad back home”Simion also declared.
