A few hours before the closing of the ballot boxes at the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova, the President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, sent a message to the Moldovan citizens, urging them to participate in the vote and emphasizing the importance of the election.

“Dear Bessarabians, there are a few more hours. Please go to the vote! There are decisive elections, the most important in the Republic of Moldova after the communist period. On these elections, your future depends on your family, of the Republic of Moldova“, Nicușor Dan said on the social platforms.
The head of the Romanian state reiterated that the involvement of citizens is essential for outlining the future of the country: “Go to the vote! It’s the time when each voice matters.”
And the president of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, appealed to the mobilization of voters, including in the diaspora, stressing that the poll must reflect the will of the citizens and not the interests of the controversial political groups. “Let’s show that we are stronger than their dirty money!“Said Sandu, referring to the alleged actions of the Şor group.
The president drew attention to several incidents reported abroad, mentioning the illegal transport of voters to polling stations, false bomb alerts and so-called “Caruses”by which it is trying to handle the ballots. “There are many cases when people from the Șor network try to prevent the voting process, especially in the sections where the presence is great.”added Sandu.
The parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova were listed by Romanian and Moldovan officials as decisive for the country’s political and economic future, and the authorities urge a correct and safe voting process.
