McKinley Richardson and Jack Doherty tied the knot last November in a spontaneous Las Vegas ceremony streamed live to the vlogger’s more than 15.3 million followers. During the ceremony, Doherty, known for his online pranks, presented a prenuptial agreement right in front of the officiant.

“So she gets absolutely nothing when I divorce her, even if I cheat on her”he said, in front of cameras and family. “If he cheats on me, he automatically owes me $10 million. And I will collect 100% of her earnings from OnlyFanseven after the divorce”.

In addition to these claims, Doherty continued with the so-called “promises” that outraged the internet: McKinley “she would not be allowed to speak or meet with other men for 250 years” after a possible breakup and should “to cook, clean and do laundry” regardless of the situation.

The clip of the moment went viral, with netizens wondering if it was a joke or a real humiliation. Shortly after the ceremony, Richardson left the $3.5 million villa in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and the marriage was over.

“It was humbling. It made my dad cry”

As a guest on Camilla Araujo’s podcast, McKinley spoke for the first time about how painful that moment was.

“The vows he read in front of my father…he made him stand up and called him to his face and then he said those disgusting things. He was extremely disrespectful. My father cried afterwards. He said to me: «It was so humbling». I felt terrible“, she said, according to the New York Post.

Richardson stated that he knew absolutely nothing of the content of the oaths. “It was nothing romantic. It was offensive and harsh. After the ceremony, when I left, he said on camera: «Thank God they left». They are the best people, it hurt me a lot“.

Harsh reactions from netizens

The moment sparked a wave of backlash online. Netizens described the vows as “sad“, “shocking” and “humiliatingMany sympathized with the young woman and her father, criticizing Doherty’s behavior.

Richardson explained that the difference between “Jack for the camera” and “Real life Jack” became, over time, impossible to bear. “At first he was wonderful. Respectful, protective, attentive. But the man who kept filming was not the same man I fell in love with“.

Breakup, publicly confirmed

The two met in early 2023 and quickly became a highly visible couple online, appearing together in vlogs and livestreams. In May 2025, after fans noticed McKinley’s absence from Doherty’s videos, Doherty officially confirmed the split.

“The relationship was real, but the pressure of non-stop content completely affected us. The Lives ate up our time and our lives. The mix of business and relationship went too far. She was wonderful, but people will never fully understand what was between us”the YouTuber said.
