The great athlete reacted with smiles and greeted the passengers of the plane, the moment being captured and shared on social networks.
The event from the plane comes a few days after a series of events dedicated to Nadia Comăneci, organized on the occasion of the celebration of 50 years since her historic performances at the Olympic Games in Montreal in 1976.
Nadia Comăneci, nicknamed the “Goddess of Montreal”, was celebrated at the “Nadia Comăneci Gala”, a tribute event that brought together personalities from sports and culture and highlighted her impact on world gymnastics.
At the Sala Polivalentă in Onești, the hometown of the champion, Nadia Comăneci was greeted with applause and ovations, in a festive event dedicated to her career.
Considered one of the greatest gymnasts in history, Nadia Comăneci remains the symbol of perfection in sports, after obtaining the first perfect 10 in the history of Olympic gymnastics.
