The commissioners of the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) have controlled several sex shops in Bucharest and found several irregularities, including the lack of instructions for use, products without identification and characterization elements.

On Wednesday, ANPC control was held in Bucharest at companies that sell erotic products, intended exclusively for major people. The control was conducted by the head of ANPC, Cristian Popescu Piedone, who personally checked the products exposed for sale.
Thus, 19 economic operators were checked. So far, 22 fines worth 937,000 lei have been given, 52 products were permanently stopped and temporarily.
“Among the most important deficiencies were: accessories type without identification and characterization elements; absence of instructions for use; absence of special precautions for use; absence of mention of products/accessories; absence of consumers’ information on the composition of underwear type”according to the posting of the Facebook page of Cristian Popescu Piedone.
Also, to verify the conformity of the products, 24 assortments of products were sealed, to be subjected to specific analyzes within an accredited laboratory.
At the same time, three units were temporarily closed, until the deficiencies were remedied. These are SC NTE COM SRL – Sector 1, SC Exclusive Promotion SRL – Sector 2 and SC Lya & Nik Com SRL – Sector 1.
