Video The American rapper Lil Pump, targeted by a criminal case in Romania: serious charges after the Neversea concert

Lil Pump, an American rapper with an estimated fortune of 12 million dollars, is the subject of a criminal case for culpable bodily harm after an incident at the Neversea festival. A young woman from Romania claims that she ended up in the hospital after the artist jumped off the stage during the concert.

Romania seems to bring bad luck to some American stars. Shortly after Wiz Khalifa was sentenced to nine months in prison, another well-known name in the music industry came to the attention of the Romanian authorities. Rapper Lil Pump is accused of seriously injuring a young woman during a concert in Neversea.

25-year-old Lil Pump, whose real name is Gazzy Garcia, is the subject of a criminal complaint filed by Teodora CS, a young woman who attended the artist’s Neversea 2023 concert, reports Fanatik. After the incident, she filed two criminal complaints: one for culpable bodily harm and another for negligence.

According to the young woman’s statements, during the concert Lil Pump jumped from the stage into the audience, injuring several spectators. She claims that she was kicked in the neck, shoulder and right arm, and later with the microphone, also in the neck area. Following the incident, she was transported to the first aid point of the festival, then to the Constanța Emergency County Hospital, from where she was discharged after the administration of an injectable sedative.

Persistent pain and new medical expertise

A few days after the event, the young woman presented herself at the Constanța Forensic Medicine Service, where she received a medico-legal certificate. The document showed that he had traumatic injuries caused by impact with hard flat objects, but medical examiners initially determined that no days of medical care were required.

Her condition worsened, and later she arrived at the hospital again. This time, the doctors concluded that the blows “they added to the post-traumatic symptoms” – mild kyphosis and polyarthrosis, which can cause neuralgic symptoms. The new medical-legal report established a period of 45 days of medical care. The young woman says that she had pain in her spine and upper and lower limbs, and that for a year and a half she had to undergo rehabilitation treatments.

File closed, then sent back to the Prosecutor’s Office

The prosecutor’s office attached to the Constanța Court decided, in August 2025, to close both files. The victim contested the solution, accusing that the prosecutors only considered the first medical documents and ignored the later ones.

The young woman’s lawyer claimed in court that, although his client can barely move her right hand, the investigators would not have summoned or questioned the American artist.

Lawyer: ‘Prosecutors took Lil Pump’s data from Google’

“He appreciates that it is not possible to jump from the stage, to jump on the petitioner, to knock her to the ground and submit all this evidence, and finally order the ranking, without even being motivated, not even a statement was taken from him, but it was motivated that the data of that person, Lil Pump, was taken from Google“, said the lawyer.

He also showed that the defense filed the decision of the Constanța Local Council and the protocol concluded between the authorities and the organizers, documents that provide for the obligation to take all measures for the safety of the participants. “Requests that it be observed that this Lil Pump jumped from the stage, over a fence, over the respective bodyguards, caused so much damage to his client and put her health at risk, that, in the end, the classification is ordered“, it is stated in the conclusion of the meeting of the Constanța Court, quoted by Fanatik.

Judges remand personal injury case

The court partially accepted the appeal. The judges sent back to the Prosecutor’s Office only the personal injury file, which directly targets Lil Pump, but rejected the complaint regarding the negligence of the organizers.

In reasoning, the magistrates showed that “there is a reasonable suspicion regarding the aggravation of the injuries suffered by the injured person”, reason for which they ordered the completion of the criminal investigation. Research is currently underway “in rem”but the fact investigated directly targets the American rapper.

Reaction of the organizers: “Everyone is fine”

The incident took place in May 2023 and quickly went viral on social media. The footage shows Lil Pump jumping over the buffer area in front of the stage, landing in an area where spectators and law enforcement were located.

At the time, the organizers claimed that the situation was not serious. “Everyone is fine now. One of the people is a colleague of ours who is back on the barricades. The girl is fine too. She was supposed to be back last night at the festival, but the doctors told her to come today. No one is fine. I think it was more the shock of the moment”, declared Ioana Chereji, Neversea PR manager.
