“Alexandra” is the first film inspired by the terrible crime case in Caracal in 2019.
In the film, the call to Alexandra 112 does not remain without consequences, as it actually happened. Angela is the dispatch that responds to Alexandra’s desperate appeal. But because during the emergency call he realizes that the police crews will not be able to reach time, Angela leaves her job, leaves alone for the young woman and manages to release her. But Angela disappears without trace. But when the truth is revealed, everything changes forever.
The artisans of the film “Alexandra” are two talented Romanian filmmakers established for several years in America and who have been impressed by the terrible case from Caracal in 2019.
Originally from Ploiești, Diana Angelson Busuioc is the director of the film, also having the main role. Diana studied UNATC, theology and foreign languages in Romania, dreamed of getting to work in America in the film industry and succeeded.
Born in Pitești, Marius Neacșu has been set for 12 years in the United States and was the image director and the publisher of the film “Alexandra”, with collaborations on numerous films, short films and documentaries made in Romania and over the Ocean. Before settling in the US, Marius Neacșu, who graduated from UNATC Bucharest, worked for several years on television in Romania.
It must be said that Diana Angelson Busuioc and Marius Neacșu have also collaborated with another emotional movie. This is the movie “Armenia, My Love” (2016), inspired by the genocide on Armenians.
“I told myself that I have to do something for Alexandra”
Alexandra Măceșanu appealed the emergency service 112 3 times on July 25, 2019, at 11:05, claiming that she was kidnapped, seized and raped in a house in Caracal. Throughout the day, the police tried to identify the place where Alexandra was, but it only succeeded in the next night and was able to execute a search warrant only the next day at 6 o’clock. Subsequently, he denied crimes. Gheorghe Dincă was definitively sentenced to 30 years in prison.

The road from the idea to the movie was not easy.
“In 2019, I was in Romania with my little girl, who was 7 years old, and I also heard, like everyone else, what happened to Alexandra. And affected me, especially as a parent, that I said that I will make a movie dedicated to her little girl. The problem followed with the pandemic and everything seemed like that, in the air, and I had it in Romania. That I am absolutely crazy, that you do not know, that you have no actor, that you are not prepared and I said, no, I have to make this movie and it will seem absolutely impossible. Lahovari, I had not come out of the permit to film, and I was thinking how I would film at 7.30 in the morning, 8, in the market, to bring a car, to park it, to bring a reporter and to film the scene.
