Video tragedy in motorcycling: Two pilots died after an accident on a track in England

Mourning in the world of world motorsport. On the Oulton Park circuit, during a SuperSport race there was a chain accident, caused by a series collisions. The race resulted in two victims, aged 21 and 29.

Tragedy on the track, caused after a carambol

The British Supersport Championship is in mourning, after an accident that cost two lives: Owen Jenner and Shane Richardson. The first is a 21 -year -old Englishman, the second is a 29 -year -old New Zealand.

The two shared a passion for motorcycle races, which animated their careers until the tragedy on Monday, May 5, on the English circuit at Oulton Park. The accident involved nine other pilots. One of them, Tom Tunstall, also suffered serious injuries to the back and abdomen.

The violent carambol was triggered by the derapit of a pilot after the first turn of the circuit, Old Hall. His fall caused a series of accidents. Jenner received first aid on the track and was resuscitated once she arrived at the Circuit Medical Center.

Fatal chest wounds

Unfortunately, a brain injury has proven fatal. Richardson was also taken care of on the track, but died of chest wounds before reaching Royal Stoke University Hospital.

In addition to Tunstall, who is still admitted to the hospital, five other pilots were transported to the Medical Center: Carl Harris, Max Morgan, Cameron Hall, Freddie Barnes and Morgan McLaren-Wood. In their case, hospitalization was not required. Lewis Jones, Corey Tinker and George Edwards did not suffer.

Given the severity of the situation, the promoter Motorsport Vision Racing has decided to cancel the scheduled events, including the 3rd race of the British Superbike Championship.
