The hosts started well and managed to open the scoring through Andrei Dumiter (16), former FCSB player. The leader came out of the locker room well after the break and managed to reverse the result through Florinel Coman's double (48, 54), in the first ten minutes.
Nicolae Dică has no victory as coach of the Ilfov team, his record so far being two draws and three failures. FC Voluntari reached nine consecutive stages without a win, three draws and six defeats.
