What documents do you need for college admission in 2024. What should the file contain

The universities of Bucharest and the country have announced the admission procedure for higher education, but before taking any exam – where applicable – candidates must submit their enrollment file. It is the first step that must be taken.

Documents for the college admission file in 2024

In general, the application file for universities in Bucharest and the country contains almost the same documents. However, some additional details appeared on the websites of educational institutions that candidates should know in advance.

Bucharest University

– Registration form, completed online or physically, in accordance with each faculty’s own methodology (to be submitted in the physical file);

– Baccalaureate diploma or diploma equivalent to it, in the original or in a certified copy in accordance with the original or certificate (in the case of high schools where the diplomas for the 2024 promotion were not issued) issued by the educational institution, in which the general average is mentioned from the baccalaureate exam, the grades in the baccalaureate exam tests, the validity period and the fact that the diploma has not been issued. As an exception, for candidates who passed the Baccalaureate exams in the sessions corresponding to the 2023-2024 school year, based on their written consent, the University of Bucharest can interconnect with the Integrated Information System of Romanian Education (SIIIR) in order to retrieve personal data and of the results obtained at the baccalaureate of these candidates, in which case the certificate issued by the educational institution is not necessary.

– Birth certificate, in scanned copy;

– Olympic diploma/s, obtained during high school studies (if applicable);

– Scanned type medical certificate, from which it can be concluded that he is suitable for the faculty to which he is applying;

– Three photos type BI / CI;

– CI or passport;

– Fee payment receipt/ proof of online payment of the registration fee for the admission competition in accordance with the fees approved by the Senate of the University of Bucharest;

– Recommendation for candidates belonging to national minorities, for study programs that do not exist in the state higher education in the language of the respective minority from a legally constituted organization of that minority, regardless of its field of activity, in which it is mentioned that the respective candidate does part of that minority; – The document recognizing the studies carried out outside Romania;

– The document recognizing the studies carried out outside Romania, according to the legal provisions in force on the date of enrollment (if applicable).

“Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University from Iasi

– Baccalaureate diploma obtained in Romania, in the original (a copy of the Baccalaureate diploma is accepted if a previous enrollment was made at another faculty, in which case a certificate from the faculty where the first enrollment was made will be added to the file;

– Baccalaureate diploma or an equivalent document and the equivalency certificate issued by CNRED for studies carried out outside Romania.

– Complete equivalency file for transmission by the University to CNRED. –

– Baccalaureate certificate, in original (only for candidates who passed the baccalaureate exam in the sessions corresponding to the 2023/2024 school year and who were not issued the Baccalaureate Diploma until the time of registration for the admission competition);

– Identity card (certifying residence in Romania)/passport (candidates from EU member countries, EEA and Switzerland) in original* and copy;

– Birth certificate in original* and copy;

– The marriage certificate or the document certifying the name change, if applicable, in original* and copy;

– Standard medical certificate, issued in the last 6 months, stating the candidate’s state of health (is/is not documented chronic diseases and what they are, if applicable). Candidates for the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports will comply with the specific requirements and will submit a medical certificate from which it can be concluded that the person in question can take the sports tests, respectively the candidate is medically fit for the field of Physical Education and Sports;

– In the case of students/graduates/ex-matriculates of a higher education institution: Certificate showing the number of semesters followed at the budget/fee and the number of semesters in which he benefited from the scholarship, if applicable;

– 2 color ID type photos (2/2.5 cm format);

– Confidentiality agreement;

– Proof of payment of the admission fee.

Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj

– Enrollment application – completed online in the admissions platform (https://admitere.ubbcluj.ro).

– Candidate file – competition data;.

– Baccalaureate diploma (front-side scan) or its equivalent diploma – in which the average from the Baccalaureate and grades must be specified;

– High school graduates from the 2024 promotion can present, instead of the Baccalaureate diploma, the standard certificate showing that they graduated from high school and passed the baccalaureate exam.

– High school transcript scanned front and back.

– Scanned birth certificate;.

– Identity card – scanned. Where applicable, scanned marriage certificate.

– The standard medical certificate (scan) issued by the school offices or the family doctor, from which it can be concluded that they are suitable for the profile or specialization for which they are applying.

– The admission fee is paid online only in the admission platform;.

– Certificate of linguistic competence (if it is part of the list approved by the Rectorate of the university) or certificate of linguistic competence from the Baccalaureate, provided that out of the 5 qualifications 3 are at least B2, for candidates opting for university studies organized in a language of international circulation. If the candidate has in the list of options several specializations with teaching in a foreign language, he must submit a certificate of language competence for each foreign language. Candidates who take the written test in English or German will no longer need a certificate of linguistic competence in that language. Candidates who do not take the written test (benefiting from facilities) will need a language proficiency certificate in the language(s) of the study programs in their list of options.

– For candidates who have a baccalaureate degree obtained before the current year. High school graduates with a baccalaureate degree obtained prior to the current year will submit a declaration on their own responsibility from which the educational trajectory in the Romanian state university education will result.

– Candidates who are students or former students and who register for the competition to attend a second faculty:. Certificate/certificates attesting to the number of budgeted or fee-paying years followed in the Romanian university system and from which it follows that they have paid university fees up to date and have no debts towards the University;. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree for candidates who wish to attend a second university – scanned front side. Certificate and supporting documents showing the fulfillment of the conditions for partial or total exemption from the registration fee and/or the processing fee (children of teaching, auxiliary teaching and non-teaching staff working or retired from institutions, teaching, auxiliary teaching and non-teaching staff activity or retired from the UBB, children orphaned by one or both parents, children from single-parent families, children from foster care centers, people at risk of losing their ability to meet daily living needs due to illness, disability or poverty) – in accordance with the specifications in Annex 2 of the Regulation on admission to bachelor’s and master’s study programs in Babeș-Bolyai University – completed and republished based on Senate Decision no. 40 of 18.03.2024. The certificate must be dated during the registration period for the admission competition or before the registration period. It is not accepted to submit the certificate and the exemption from fees after the registration for the admission competition has been completed.

– Diploma with the award obtained or participation diploma for candidates who benefit from the facilities granted to Olympians or participants in competitions. The diploma that is not in Romanian will be translated by an authorized translator. The original diploma and the translation will be scanned into a single pdf document.

How much do college admission fees start?

Babeș Bolyai University, Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science

  • admission fee: 350 lei. This money includes the processing fee, 50 lei, and the registration fee 300 lei.

Oradea University the following fees are charged:

  • Registration fee for the entrance exam: 200 lei
  • Registration fee: 120 lei
  • File processing fee for candidates with previous studies carried out abroad: 150 euros

Lower Danube University, Galati:

  • 200 lei for each faculty regardless of the number of study programs for which the candidate opts;
  • 150 lei for candidates whose parents are graduates of “Dănărea de Jos” University in Galati, for a single competition file

Bucharest University

Registration fees at the faculties of the University of Bucharest are between 150 and 550 lei. Fees can be paid online on the University website.

How and where to submit the college admissions file

At Babeș-Bolyai University the admission registration file is submitted exclusively online, in the admission platform (https://admitere.ubbcluj.ro).

At Transilvania University in Brașov the admission registration file is submitted online, by e-mail at [email protected], but also in physical format in the Rectorate building, room 102.

At the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iasi the file is submitted both online and in physical format. Between July 15-20, 2024, registration can be done both online and at the faculties’ offices, but online registration is recommended.
