Half a million students from the 2nd, 4th and 6th grades take the national assessment between May 13 and 29. Second grade students test their knowledge in Mathematics and Natural Sciences on Thursday, according to the official calendar. According to the Ministry of Education, the subjects have a medium degree of difficulty.

Second grade students have half an hour to solve the tests developed by the National Center for Policy and Evaluation in Education (CNPEE).
On Monday, the 2nd grade students started with the Language and Communication – Written – Romanian Language test, respectively the Language and Communication – Written – Mother Tongue test for students belonging to national minorities. The tests were similar to those of previous years and have a medium level of difficulty. The results will be evaluated in the educational units within a maximum of 7 days after taking the last test, reports Edupedu.

In each class, students are seated in benches, in pairs or according to their usual place. The distribution of the tests was carried out in a controlled manner, in the order of the test numbers, from Test no. 1 to Test no. 2 and so on, so that each child gets the test they need to solve.

On Tuesday, the 2nd grade students were tested in Language and communication – reading – Romanian language, and on Wednesday the students who belong to national minorities took part in the Language and communication – reading – mother tongue test.
The test in mathematics and natural sciences takes place on Thursday, and on Friday the last test will take place within EN II (Language and communication – writing-reading – Romanian language for national minorities), taken by students belonging to national minorities.
For fourth grade students, the tests will take place next week: Romanian language (May 21), mathematics (May 22) and mother tongue (May 23). And for those in the 6th grade, the evaluation will take place in the last week of May: May 28 – Language and communication, respectively May 29 – mathematics and natural sciences.
A new digital application will manage assessment data, making it easier to collect and analyze it. Individual results will not be made public or recorded in the class catalog. The Ministry of Education emphasizes that these data will be used to develop measures to improve educational services at school level, addressing all parties involved.
