Supermarkets have announced the operating program for the 2025 Easter holidays, including the days when the shops will be closed, to provide employees to spend the family.

From 2013 to the present, Lidl Romania offers all employees two free days on Easter, an essential benefit to spend the holidays with loved ones. Thus, the stores will be closed on the first and second Easter day, on April 20 and 21, 2025, following the activity to be resumed on Tuesday, April 22.
The approach is part of the broader strategy of the retailer to give its employees the best working conditions and packages of competitive benefits, which will support their long -term well -being.
Lidl’s Easter program
During the Pascal Holidays, the Lidl store operating schedule from all over the country will be as follows:
• From Monday, April 14, until Friday, April 18, the program will be between 07:00 – 22:00;
• On Saturday, April 19, Lidl stores will be opened between 07:00 and 18:00;
• Sunday, April 20 and Monday, April 21, all Lidl stores in the country will be closed.
Starting on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, Lidl stores will return to the normal operating program.
Kaufland supermarket Easter program

Between April 14 and 18, the hypermarkets will have an extended program, with the opening time between 06:30 and 07:00, depending on the store, and the closing time between 21:30 and 23:00.

On Saturday, April 19, most stores will have a shorter operating program, which starts between 06:30 and 07:00 and ends between 5:00 pm and 19:00. The exception is Kaufland Sibiu Mall, which will open at 08:00.

On the first day of Easter, Sunday, April 20, all Kaufland stores will be closed.

On the second day of Easter, Monday, April 21, the stores will have a short program: the opening will be at 09:00. The closing time will vary, depending on the store, between 16:00 and 18:00. Also, the store inside the Promenada Mall Sibiu will be open between 10:00 and 22:00.
Easter program 2025 Carrefour
- On Saturday, April 19, Carrefour will close the stores earlier, more precisely at 6:00 pm.
- On Easter day, all stores will be closed.
- On Monday, April 21, some units could work with a low program or will remain closed.
Easter program 2025 Mega Image
- Sunday, April 20: All Mega Image stores will be closed.
- Monday, April 21: Stores will work between 09:00 and 18:00. The program may vary depending on the location, especially in the case of shop & goo or shops in shopping centers.
Easter program 2025 Penny
- April 14 – 18, 2025 – Penny stores will be opened between 07:00 and 22:00
- Saturday, April 19, 2025 – The shops will be opened between 07:00 and 18:00
- April 20, 2025 (Easter) – The stores will be closed
- April 21, 2025 – The shops will be opened between 10:00 and 17:00
- April 22 – 26, 2025, normal program
